Call to Safety is not just a social service agency – we were founded as a social change organization. Domestic and sexual violence are widespread. We are dedicated to supporting those who experience violence in empowering themselves while working to end the oppressions at the root of violence (like racism, sexism, transmisogyny, and ableism).

Basic Rights Oregon

Our mission is to ensure that all LGBTQ2SIA+ Oregonians experience equality by building a broad and inclusive politically powerful movement, shifting public opinion, and achieving policy victories.

Willamette River Keeper

We believe a river with excellent water quality, abundant natural habitat, safe for fishing and recreation is a basic public right. For 25 years Willamette Riverkeeper has proudly served as the eyes, ears, and voice of the Willamette river. Our programs, together with your support, enable us to effectively generate positive change.

Taking Ownership PDX

a small-but-mighty community collective of contractors, realtors, neighbors, and businesses brought together by Portland musician, activist Randal Wyatt. Together we renovate and revive Black-owned homes that have requested our help, with an emphasis on enabling Black homeowners to age in place, generate wealth and simultaneously deter predatory investors and realtors to deflect the gentrification process.

Multnomah County Animal Services

Multnomah County Animal Services (MCAS) is the county’s sole public animal shelter and control agency. The mission of MCAS is to protect the health, safety and welfare of people and pets throughout Multnomah County. MCAS cares for the community’s lost, homeless, stray, injured, sick, neglected and abandoned animals.

Oregon Justice Resource Center

Our goal is to promote civil rights and improve legal representation for communities that have often been underserved in the past: people living in poverty and people of color among them. We work in collaboration with like-minded organizations to maximize our reach to serve underrepresented populations, to train future public interest lawyers, and to educate our community on issues related to civil rights and civil liberties.

Refugee Care Collective

Refugee Care Collective mobilizes the city of Portland, Oregon to serve diverse populations of refugees being resettled in the Portland Metro area, in order to empower refugees to rebuild their lives and step more fully into self-sustainability. Through restart kits and relational programs, partnership with resettlement agencies, and namely, the thousands of people who have given of their time and resources, Refugee Care Collective plays an active role in Portland refugee resettlement, bridging

American Civil Liberties Union

The ACLU works in the courts, legislatures, and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to all people in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States.

Meals on Wheels People

Meals on Wheels People was founded in 1969 with the mission to enrich the lives of seniors, and assist them in maintaining independence, by providing nutritious food, human connections and social support. We also use our expertise and capacity to serve other nutritionally at-risk populations.

NW Down Syndrome Association

The NWDSA provides support to new families of children with Down syndrome in the form of the New Parent Guide, phone support and monthly Open Arms playgroups. They also hold educational trainings for parents and professionals throughout the year, in addition to social events for families with children of all ages.

AMP PDX

Over the last 28 years AMP has been able to provide thousands of youth with music and art resources while being supported by a large community of compassionate and dedicated artists and musicians. Through partnerships with youth service providers we have been able to ensure a generation of young people have access to these vital tools to move through trauma.

United in Harmony

United in Harmony’s overnight-camp program (Camp Harmony) is designed to help children develop positive self-esteem and to thereby inspire and empower campers in their future endeavors. At Camp Harmony, children grow through interactions with teenage and adult role models while experiencing nature, exploring arts, sports, and an array of other enriching activities.

Friends of the Earth

Friends of the Earth campaigns internationally, nationally and locally to protect the environment and peoples’ rights, and build sustainable societies.

Animal Welfare Institute

Since 1951 The Animal Welfare Institute has been dedicated to reducing animal suffering caused by people. They seek better treatment of animals everywhere—in the laboratory, on the farm, in commerce, at home, and in the wild.

Western Environmental Law Center

The Western Environmental Law Center uses the power of the law to safeguard the public lands, wildlife, and communities of the western U.S. in the face of a changing climate.

Oregon Humane Society

Established in 1868, Oregon Humane Society (OHS) is the Northwest's oldest and largest humane society, with one of the highest adoption rates in the nation.

Grind for Life

The mission of the Grind For Life organization is to provide financial assistance to cancer patients and their families when traveling long distances to doctors and hospitals.

Outside In

Since 1968, Outside In has transformed thousands of lives by helping break the cycles of chronic homelessness, poverty, and poor health among Portland’s LGBTQIA+ community, people of color, immigrants, and the underserved. Our health clinic and young adult programs strive to meet people where they are and provide safe, affirming spaces for our community to receive judgment-free care and support.

Death With Dignity

The mission of the Death with Dignity National Center is to promote death with dignity laws based on our model legislation, the Oregon Death with Dignity Act, both to provide an option for dying individuals and to stimulate nationwide improvements in end-of-life care.

Sunshine Division

The Sunshine Division serve 15,600+ households a year with “shopping” experiences in our clothing store as well as with food. We also make bulk donations of food to 15+ other food-relief agencies in five counties in the Portland Metro Area.

Union Gospel Mission

Union Gospel Mission provides more than 194,000 meals a year to the homeless and people in need. In addition to meals, the Mission provides food boxes, a day room with coffee and snacks, clothing, hygiene items, referral services and cold weather shelter to the homeless.

Doctors Without Borders

Since their founding in 1971 MSF has helped tens of millions of people, and grown from a group of 13 doctors and journalists to an international movement of more than 45,000.
